What is reiki?
Reiki is not an alternative treatment for medical issues but an adjunctive therapy that can help support healing and increase a feeling of well being.
Conditions that Reiki has been used to help treat include cancer, heart disease, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, infertility, neurodegenerative disorders, autism, Crohn’s disease, fatigue syndrome, pain release.
How does it work?
The practitioner works with the client’s energy centers or chakras to remove energy blockages & rebalance the human energy field. If we are out of balance we may feel stressed, tired, in pain & can have a multitude of symptoms. These range from generally feeling out of sorts to experiencing chronic ongoing disorders which can eventually lead to a state of dis-ease or serious illness. Balancing the chakras opens the way for healing, psychological development & spiritual growth. The chakras are the key to physical health, emotional stability & mental clarity,
How many sessions will I need?
This varies greatly depending on the individual. Long-standing and/ or serious ailments typically require three or more sessions. When a person generally feels well Reiki is a wonderful method of health maintenance .. in this case receiving a treatment every 4-6 weeks is ideal to remain balanced and well.
Does someone have to “believe” in Reiki for it to be effective?
Absolutely not. All that is required is the permission of the individual to receive healing energy. It is just as effective whether or not the client believes it works.
